PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Game and Fish Department has seized two tigers found in Phoenix and Gilbert neighborhoods.
Officials say the animals' owner will be cited when located because Arizona prohibits the possession of all wild carnivores.
Game and Fish officials received reports on Dec. 27 about a man posting online pictures of himself with his two pet tigers.
They say the first tiger was found rope-tied in a Phoenix backyard on Dec. 31. The second tiger was located Jan. 3 in a Gilbert backyard and was being kept in a large dog kennel.
Game and Fish officials say both tigers are about 8 months old, 200 pounds and appear to be in good health.
Babb says both tigers will be taken to live at a wildlife preserve in Prescott.
