TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Thousands of Tucson residents woke up Tuesday without electrical power after wind toppled lines and poles late Monday.
Much of the damage was sustained on the southern Arizona city's northwest side.
Estimates on the number of Tucson Electric Power customers affected by outages ranged up to 13,000.
TEP says wind and rain slowed some repair work.
At least 15 storm-damage poles needed to be replaced.
