SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Scottsdale police are warning women and seeking the public's help identifying suspects after two sexual assaults in the past week.
Police spokesman Sgt. Mark Clark says a man entered an apartment on Sahuaro Drive late on Oct. 18 through an unlocked patio door and sexually assaulted a 49-year-old woman. A 29-year-old woman was assaulted in an apartment on 69th Street late Wednesday by a man who also came in through an unlocked patio door. He had a shirt over his face during the assault but may have been scratched.
The first assailant was described as a clean-shaven black male in his late teens, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a thin build and short afro. A witness gave a similar description of a man seen after the second assault.
