BUCKEYE, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say a Buckeye man is considered an investigative lead in a double homicide involving his father and stepmother.
Buckeye police say 33-year-old Elwood Moreno remains hospitalized in critical condition after the car he was driving at nearly 100 mph crashed into a block wall Sunday.
When investigators went to notify Moreno's family about the crash, they found the bodies of 57-year-old Ramsey Moreno and 69-year-old Nancy Moreno inside an apartment.
Police say the front door was open, there was blood in the apartment and the couple had been stabbed multiple times.
Detective say the homicide remains under investigation.
