TUCSON, Ariz. -- A would-be bank robber’s plans hit a snag Wednesday when a teller at a Tucson Wells Fargo announced his intentions to everyone else in the building.
According to Tucson police, an armed man entered the bank just before 10 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money and threatening harm.
The teller, however, was behind a bulletproof window and proceeded to yell out that the bank was being robbed.
The suspect immediately fled the scene without receiving any money.
The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 25 and 30. He’s approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs between 180 and 190 pounds.
The man was last seen wearing a dark beanie cap, a dark hooded sweatshirt, light blue jeans, and a red t-shirt.
Anyone with any information about the suspect is asked to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
