PHOENIX – A worker is recovering after reportedly getting his hand stuck in a pasta-making machine.

Preliminary reports indicate a 20-year-old employee was working at F & S Foods near 24th Street and University when two fingers from one of his hands became stuck in between the roller of the machine.

It took firefighters about 45 minutes to free the worker's hand. Capt. Todd Liston tell 3TV they had to take the machine apart piece by piece.

The employee will reportedly not lose his fingers but will have to undergo hand surgery.

UPDATE:  Jared Dillingham visited the recuperating pasta maker at the Maricopa Medical Center on Wednesday and filed this updated video report.
