KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) -- A woman who helped her husband flee from jail by hiding handcuff keys in a Kingman courtroom has been sentenced to 15 months in prison.

The Kingman Daily Miner reports that Ashley Morrison apologized at her sentencing Wednesday to Judge Derek Carlisle for slipping the keys in between the cushions of chairs in the judge's courtroom where inmates sit to wait for their hearing.

She pleaded guilty in July to conspiracy to commit escape.

Authorities say Morrison hid keys under chairs in the courtroom a month before her husband, Darren Morrison, escaped in January.

The inmate freed himself from shackles and handcuffs as he exited a transport van.

He was captured more than five days later.

Ashley Morrison told the judge at sentencing that she was divorcing her husband.
