PHOENIX - The County Attorney's Office announced the sentencing of Elizabeth Rich to 15 years for assault on a Phoenix Police Sergeant.

On June 6, Rich was a passenger in a car that was pulled over by police. Rich had outstanding warrants and after partially closing the car window on the sergeant's arm she put her foot on the gas and dragged him for about half a mile before he freed himself.

Rich crashed the car and fled on foot before police caught up with her.

The sergeant did survive his injuries.

I will bet anything that woman wishes she could go back and rethink that stupid move. Hope the officer is doing better.
