PHOENIX -- A motorcycle rider was killed Monday morning in a collision with an SUV on the US 60, according to a spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Westbound US 60 was closed for several hours at the Loop 101 because of the crash, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Westbound traffic was being taken off US 60 at the Loop 101 exit.
The freeway reopened just before noon.
