PHOENIX -- Voters in several cities across the Valley are heading to the polls Tuesday.

Primary elections are going on in Buckeye, Fountain Hills, Litchfield Park, Paradise Valley and Queen Creek as voters narrow down their choices for city council and mayoral candidates.

There is also an effort to recall the mayor in Carefree and special elections in Scottsdale and Tempe. Both of those East Valley cities are looking to impose "bed taxes" for tourism.

The polls will stay open until 7 p.m.

Remember to bring an ID with you when you go to vote.
