PHOENIX -- A video obtained by The Associated Press on Wednesday shows the operator of a speed-camera van in north Phoenix quietly doing paperwork before he was fatally shot by a passer-by who pulled slowly alongside him.

In the minute-long video provided by Phoenix police and taken from the interior of the van, 51-year-old Doug Georgianni is shown sitting in the front seat with an overhead light on as he shuffles through papers on April 19 last year.

Georgianni is then knocked to the right by the power of multiple gunshots, and can be heard mumbling shortly after.

A second video also provided by Phoenix police shows a Chevy Suburban slowly pull up behind the van and then alongside it. The shooter wasn't caught on tape.

Thomas Patrick Destories is charged with first-degree murder in the killing. His lawyer didn't return a call for comment.
