GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Vice President Joe Biden has touched down at Luke Air Force Base and is en route to Prescott Valley to attend the memorial service for The Yarnell 19, the 19 wildland firefighters killed in the Yarnell Hill Fire.

He immediately left for Prescott Valley.

While the route has not been announced for security reasons, there will be rolling road closures around the vice president's motorcade as it heads north. This will happen again when he returns to Luke AFB.

In addition to speaking during the service, Biden is expected to meet with the firefighters' families at some point during his short visit.

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, a former Arizona governor, and Gov. Jan Brewer will speak at the memorial, as well.

Once the memorial service is over, Biden will return to Luke Air Force Base and leave Arizona.
