PHOENIX (AP) -- Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver says he has "full support" for NBA Commissioner Adam Silver's decision to ban Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling for life and fine him $2.5 million.
In a statement released by the team, Sarver called Sterling's comments on race "disturbing" and said Silver's decision "upholds the principles of diversity, tolerance and respect for all people that the NBA and Phoenix Suns represent."
The Suns have joined the Clippers and other NBA teams in converting their website to all black, with only the team logo and the words "WE ARE ONE" in white.
