MARICOPA - A Maricopa High School student is in custody after making a bomb threat to a teacher.

The student threatened a teacher by stating she would be sorry because a bomb would be placed on school grounds on Wednesday.

The Maricopa Police School Resource officer took the student immediately into custody and police did a sweep of the classroom and student.

Nothing was found and during questioning the student revealed she was angry and made the threatening comments in an attempt to scare the teacher.

The female student was booked into the Pinal County Juvenile Detention Center on felony charges.
