PHOENIX -- Can you really decorate a whole Halloween party without breaking the bank? It's possible, when you use balloons to create some spooky creatures that will steal the show at any party.
Balloon expert Sandi Masori shows us how it's done, demonstrating how to make a giant spider.
The first step is to inflate a balloon. There's a difference in the size of balloons, and to make a spider you need two sizes. "This is a 2-60," she explains. "It's the long skinny balloon, the ones you see clowns using. It's so named because it's approximately two inches wide and 60 inches long when you inflate it. And this is just a regular round balloon."
On Good Morning Arizona Tuesday, Sandi walked Scott Pasmore step-by-step through the process of creating the spider.
One tip? Use a pump to blow up the balloons. "They don't give a medal for blowing it up by mouth," Sandi laughs. Also, tie the balloons around two fingers.
Tie the two round balloons together. The make an X with with long balloons. Use four long balloons, which creates eight legs. Then wrap it around the spider's "body".
Folks of all ages will love the finished product. "I like to say it's for the young of age and young at heart," Sandi says.
