Scottsdale woman robbed driving home from casino

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- A Scottsdale woman was robbed as she was driving home from a casino early Wednesday morning.

According to the Scottsdale Police Department, a 47-year-old woman was driving home from Fort McDowell Casino at approximately 2:45 a.m.

The woman was stopped at a stop sign at 124th Street and Cactus Road when her vehicle was rear-ended by an SUV. She was not injured in the collision and pulled to the side of the road.

Two males reportedly approached her vehicle and forcibly removed her at gunpoint. The suspects took jewelry and cash from her and fled the scene.

One suspect is described as a heavy-set Hispanic male wearing a long-sleeve light blue shirt and long, dark pants. The other suspect is described as a skinny Hispanic male with a small frame and dark skin.

Both suspects were wearing a white cloth over their faces and spoke only Spanish.

The victim described the suspect vehicle as an older, light-colored SUV.
