SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Scottsdale police detectives are investigating a reported homicide at a home near Thompson Peak Parkway and Bell Road.

According to Sgt. Mark Clark, police received a 911 call at about 11 a.m. Wednesday from a man reporting that he strangled his wife.

Neal Melton lives across the street from the couple and told 3TV his neighbors are Mike and Linda Cohn.

The names match the information provided on the county assessor's website.

Neighbors also said Linda was a practicing psychologist in Scottsdale.

Police aren't ready to confirm their identities but did tell 3TV the man arrested was named ‘Mike’.

When officers arrived the husband came out of the home and was arrested without incident.

Officers found his wife dead in one of their bathrooms.

Clark said no one else was in the house at the time and there are no other residents.

Detectives are looking at the circumstances of Linda's death.

Police said there is no history of domestic abuse calls.

The husband remains in custody.
