RIMROCK, Ariz. -- For the second time in less than two months the Beaver Creek Elementary School in Rimrock has been targeted by thieves.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office said the school’s bus barn was broken into on Thursday morning.

According to YCSO, the suspects stole a power drill, a walkie-talkie, and six flashlights. They also poured motor oil in and around the building and attempted to break into vehicles that were parked nearby.

Several classrooms at Beaver Creek Elementary School were also broken into back on November 24, resulting in the theft of food and an undetermined amount of money.

The suspects in the November incident also sprayed the school’s lobby and several classrooms with fire extinguishers, and pulled ceiling tiles from bathrooms.

YCSO said the suspects in both cases are believed to be members of the Rimrock community.

People who live near Beaver Creek Elementary School are asked to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity around campus after school hours.

Anyone with any information can call Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
