PHOENIX (AP) -- Republican U.S. Rep. Matt Salmon plans to host two town halls during this week's congressional recess.
Salmon will return to his Arizona district and host town halls in Mesa on Wednesday and in Gilbert on Thursday.
Salmon is expected to discuss some of the high-profile issues going on in Washington, including the proposed immigration overhaul, federal health care law and recent Internal Revenue Service investigation involving employees targeting conservative groups.
Local elected officials are scheduled to attend the meetings.
Other federal lawmakers are also expected to hold town halls in Arizona and across the nation this week.
