GLENDALE, Ariz. – Three people are dead and police say it appears to be a family murder-suicide.

Police were called out to a home near 55th Avenue and Peoria Friday morning to conduct a welfare check. They found three bodies inside the Glendale house.

Detectives have identified the victims as 55-year-old Patrice La Rocca, 56-year-old John La Rocca and 31-year-old John La Rocca Jr. They all lived in the home and their bodies were found in the same room.

Police say they believe La Rocca Jr. killed his father and stepmother beore taking his own life.

"At a little over 7 a.m. officers were dispatched to a residence in the area of 55th Avenue and Cholla Street in reference to a welfare check," Glendale Officer Gerald Sydnor said.

One neighbor says they had not seen the family for about a week. She says there was a stench and their dogs had been barking a lot.

"it's scary. Being that it's so close to the neighborhood and it's so quiet here," another neighbor said.

Police do not yet have a motive in this case. The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office will determine their exact cause of death.
