PHOENIX -- Police are talking to several people who might have been involved in an early morning home invasion.

It happened at about 2:45 a.m. at an apartment complex near 40th Street and McDowell Road in Phoenix.

Several men wearing bandannas reportedly forced their way into an apartment and tied up the occupants. The suspects -- five to six black men -- then went through the apartment and stole some property before fleeing the scene.

The victims suffered some minor injuries, but did not require immediate medical treatment.

The suspects, who might have been armed with shotguns or rifles, reportedly ran across McDowell Road to another apartment complex.

Police caught up with several people at that second complex. Investigators were talking to eight people whom they considered persons of interest in the home invasion. Police were hoping the victims could identify the suspects.

Investigators are waiting for a search warrant to go into the second apartment to look for the property that allegedly was stolen in the course of the home invasion.
