PHOENIX – A man and woman are accused of pointing a gun at a school bus.

Police say a David Rubio, 21, and Amanda Mojica-Holmes, 19, allegedly pointed a gun at a school bus filled with special needs kids just before 3 p.m. Wednesday near 72nd Avenue and Camelback Road.

There were 10 students from Palm Lane Elementary School on board as well as the bus driver and an assistant.

The bus driver contacted police when she saw a woman take a silver gun out of her purse and hand it to a man on the roadway before he allegedly pointed it at the bus as it drove by.

Rubio was arrested a short time later. Police say they found a loaded gun in Mojica-Holmes' purse.

Rubio faces charges including aggravated assault and misconduct involving weapons. Mojica-Holmes faces one count of hindering prosecution.
