SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Scottsdale police have confirmed that they are investigating an allegation of sexual assault involving Phoenix Suns forward Michael Beasley.
The allegation involves an incident that took place on Jan. 13.
"At this point we can only say the investigation is ongoing as we are interviewing those involved and are processing any physical evidence that we may have to try to determine if criminal charges are appropriate for this incident," police spokesman Officer David Pubins said in an email to 3TV.
Beasley, 24, has been in the NBA for four years and joined the Suns in 2012.
The investigation is ongoing.
