SCOTTSDALE -- Police have identified a 51-year-old woman who was found dead in her Scottsdale apartment Friday afternoon.
An out-of-state relative asked Scottsdale police to do a welfare check at the Monaco Apartments near Hayden Road and Via de Ventura after the victim hadn't been heard from since earlier in the week.
Officers entered through an unsecured door and found Kim Pacurar dead from apparent upper-body trauma. An autopsy will be performed later this week.
Police say Pacurar lived alone in the apartment.
