FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- The Flagstaff Police Department has identified the second suspect involved in a machete attack Saturday morning.

Police said the victim was walking down North Second Street when Andrew James Jaurequi, 19, pulled up in a yellow 1991 four-door Cadillac. Jaurequi and his friend, who has been identified as Louis Leyvas Sanchez IIII, 28, jumped out of the vehicle and confronted the victim.

According to the initial report by the victim, he was being held down by Jaurequi as Sanchez began attacking him with the machete. The victim sustained injuries to his face, head, back and one of his legs.

The victim told police that a prior confrontation had led the two men to attack him.

The two suspects fled the scene in the Cadillac and have not been captured. They are considered armed and dangerous.

Investigators have obtained warrants for both suspects for attempted first-degree homicide.

Police said Jaurequi also goes by the nickname of "Applez" and Sanchez goes by the nickname of "Sauce." They both have ties to Flagstaff and the Phoenix area.
