PHOENIX -- While Monday and Tuesday are going to be decidedly warmer-than-average for this time of year, there is a big cool-down coming -- about 25 degrees between Monday and Saturday.

Plan on a high of 91 in Phoenix Monday, 92 Tuesday. That's flirting with record territory and well above what is considered normal for this time of year. The average high for the month of November is 75 degrees. The normal high for Nov. 5-6 is 80.

Things will start to change Thursday.

A low-pressure system moving through the desert Southwest will bring a dramatic change. It will bring much cooler temperatures, a chance for rain in the Valley and snow in the higher elevations, and breezy-to-windy conditions.

When we say "much cooler temperatures," we're not kidding. According to the National Weather Service, "high temperatures forecast for Saturday on the deserts will drop to December normals."

Looking ahead to the weekend, plan on a high of 75 with strong winds on Friday, 65 with a chance of rain on Saturday and 66 on Sunday.

Overnight lows will be in the low 60 through Friday, dropping to the low 50s for Saturday and Sunday.
