PHOENIX -- Phoenix police arrested a man suspected of sexually abusing two girls, and his wife was arrested for not reporting it.
One of the victims told police that Patrick Connaughton, 37, had sexually abused her for the last 10 years, according to Sgt. Steve Martos.
Detectives said Connaughton admitted to his involvement.
He was arrested Wednesday and booked on several felony counts, including sexual conduct with a minor, public sexual indecency and sexual abuse.
During the course of the investigation, detectives discovered that Connaughton's wife was aware of the alleged abuse.
Mary Connaughton, 33, told detectives that she did not report it because she feared becoming homeless, according to Martos.
Connaughton was booked on one count of child abuse for failing to protect.
