PHOENIX -- Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a Phoenix bank Monday afternoon.
According to police, the suspect entered a Bank of America near Dunlap Avenue and Seventh Street at approximately 12:45 p.m. He approached an employee in the lobby and demanded money.
Phoenix police Detective Mike Fischer said the suspect was escorted to a teller who gave him a known amount of cash. The suspect put the money in a large brown folder and fled the bank on foot.
No weapon was seen.
The suspect has been dubbed the "10 Second Bandit" because when he goes up to the tellers he simply says, "You've got 10 seconds to give me the money."
The suspect is described as a black male with a medium build, 45 to 50 years old, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall and 140 to 160 pounds. He was wearing a light-colored long-sleeved button-down shirt, blue jeans, white athletic shoes and a gray baseball cap with a blue bill, white trim and an unknown logo.
Fischer said the same suspect wearing the same clothing entered the bank on Saturday but left without making any transactions.
No vehicle was seen on either occasion.
Police say the suspect hit another Bank of America location on Aug. 17.
