PHOENIX - A man has gone from nursing assistant to accused child predator as police make arrest in alleged molestation case.

On Friday, Eddie Parker, 27, a nurses' assistant from St. Luke's Behavioral Health Center, was arrested for the alleged molestation of a 14-year-old patient.

According to Phoenix police investigators, staff members of the hospital contacted police back on March 2 after being made aware of an incident out of their behavioral health facility.

Detectives learned Parker had contact with a 14-year-old patient on several occasions.

Police will not go into detail about the alleged incident, however Parker is being charged with four counts of sexual abuse, one count of sexual misconduct with a minor and one count of child molestation.

He is being held without bond.

The hospital released this statement, "We took immediate and appropriate action. We would like to express our concern for this patient and to offer our Assurance that we are working closely with law enforcement to ensure justice."
