PHOENIX -- Police continue to search for two suspects wanted in a string of cigarette robberies in South Phoenix.

Police said the "Ninja Bandits" committed at least 14 robberies between Nov. 6 and Dec. 10 at mostly Circle K and Walgreens stores.

In each robbery, the suspects walk directly to the cigarette display and remove packs and cartons of cigarettes. They have used physical force during some of the robberies, according to Silent Witness coordinator Sgt. Darren Burch.

One suspect is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall with a thin build. The other is described as a black male, 30 to 40 years old with a medium build and wearing prescription glasses.

They have been seen driving a red, newer-model, two-door vehicle and a blue four-door Jeep.

Contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or silentwitness.org with any information about the suspects. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered in the case.
