MESA, Ariz. (AP) -- Officials in an Arizona city are asking for swimsuit donations to benefit low-income residents.
Mesa officials say they often have to turn children away from public swimming pools because they don't have proper swimming attire.
The state's third most populous city says they are accepting swimsuit donations through the end of summer.
City leaders say swim trunks in any size and color and in good condition are welcome.
The suits will be made available at each Mesa pool for customers who show up with no swimming attire.
Under city policy, all swimmers must wear proper attire when using public pools.
