GILBERT – A man is dead after a police chase and standoff in Gilbert on Tuesday night.
The pursuit came to an end near Val Vista and the Hunt Highway. A man driving a silver pick-up truck somehow ended up in a muddy wash.
After running from police, that man was surrounded by a SWAT team. Investigators tell 3TV the man took his own life during the standoff.
No police officers were hurt during the incident. The man’s identity has not been released.
