PRESCOTT -- A Prescott man was arrested after pointing a laser at a Department of Public Safety helicopter Wednesday night.

According to the Prescott Police Department, a robbery occurred at Game Stop on Iron Springs Road at approximately 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The lone employee told police that two Hispanic males in their early 20s entered the store wearing bandannas over their faces. He said that one suspect was carrying a large knife and the other had a rifle.

The employee was ordered to load up computers and games onto a cart and take them out the back door. He told police he managed to escape out the door while the robbers' attention was diverted.

A DPS helicopter was called in to assist with the search for the suspects. The helicopter checked the rooftop of the business, but no one was seen.

The helicopter stayed over the area while police officers entered the business. The suspects were gone, but evidence of the crime was recovered, including video surveillance.

The suspects are unknown at this time.

During the search, someone from the 700 block of Flora Street pointed a green laser at the helicopter for several minutes. The pilot reported the laser was obstructing his vision and creating a hazard.

Several police officers responded to the area and with the pilot's assistance located the house where the laser was coming from.

Police contacted Clint Jason Brenner, 36, who was interviewed by police and the green laser was recovered.

Brenner was arrested on two felony charges of endangerment and booked into Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde.

Anyone with information about the Game Stop robbery or the suspects is encouraged to contact the Prescott Police Department at 928-777-1920 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
