PHOENIX -- After four decades on the air in one way or another, longtime TV and radio personality Bill Austin is calling it a career.

After nearly 20 years behind the KEZ 99.9 microphone with his cohort Beth McDonald, today was Austin's last on the air. Beth and Bill spent a good part of that time in the 3TV studios when 3TV and KEZ were owned by the same parent company.

Austin has been near and dear to the hearts of 3TV viewers for quite some time, going back to the "Cooking With Beth and Bill Show."

Before joining KEZ in 1990, Austin was the weatherman at Channel 12.

Austin has more than 4,000 live radio shows to his credit, none of them scripted or pre-produced.

When former KEZ general manager Jerry Ryan first teamed up Austin and McDonald, it was with the reminder, "You don't have to be funny, just have fun"

If you'd like to send a message to Austin, you can email BestToBill@KEZ999.com.
