GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Police are searching for the driver who hit a woman on a Glendale street and left her for dead Wednesday morning.
It happened at 63rd and Northern avenues.
According to police, two people called 911 shortly after 3 a.m. to report a woman lying in the road. One of those people stopped and performed CPR in an effort to help her.
Emergency responders air-evaced the victim to a local hospital. Despite the life-saving measures taken by the passer-by and paramedics, the woman died of her injuries.
Police later identified the victim as Kourtney Leigh Keiser, 34, of Glendale.
Detectives shut down a large portion of Northern Avenue and spent hours on the scene trying to piece together exactly what happened.
At this point, information is scarce. Investigators only have one piece of potential evidence -- a side-view mirror -- but they are not certain that it is connected to the deadly collision. Detectives hope to determine what kind of car the mirror came from, and from there possibly track down an owner.
