PHOENIX -- After three days of triple-digit heat, the Valley is in for a break today. Although today's forecast high of 94 degrees is still four degrees above average for today's date, it's much cooler than the near-record temperatures we've seen since Sunday when we saw our first triple-digit days of 2013.
Today, look for abundant sunshine and fairly light winds in the Valley. Those winds will pick up later tonight and into tomorrow morning as another cold front moves through our state.
This front will also be dry, bringing northeasterly winds of between 15 and 25 mph by tomorrow morning.
Afternoon highs will stay in the low to mid 90s all the way from today through the weekend and no rain is expected until early next week at the earliest.
Overnight lows will stay in the 50s and 60s.
