PHOENIX -- The Arizona Humane Society has so many cats they're giving them away this weekend.
Since January they've taken in more than 20,000 cats and kittens. They say they haven't had to euthanize healthy cats in seven years, but are dangerously close to doing that now.
So if you're looking for a pet now is the time to adopt.
"We have all kinds of personalities, different breeds, colors at the shelter,” said Ashliegh Goebel of the Arizona Humane Society. “I'm sure that there's one that will fit into your home. We have both affectionate cats, rowdy and rambunctious kittens – anything that you're looking for we have."
The Humane Society is waiving adoption fees for cats through Monday.
