PHOENIX – Just when we thought the Excessive Heat Warning would end early Sunday morning, it has been extended into Monday.
The warning is in effect for the Phoenix metro area until 5 a.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
A high of 112 degrees is forecast for the Valley on Sunday.
Phoenix hit 114 degrees on Saturday, which set a record high.
Be sure to take the proper precautions during extreme temperatures:
Restrict outdoor activity to early morning or late evening.
Wear loose-fitting clothes.
Drink plenty of water.
Check on young kids and the elderly.
