EL MIRAGE - El Mirage police arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

According to police on Saturday around 2:45 a.m. El Mirage officers spotted three people in the park near Valentine and El Frio, a 13-year-old, a 17-year old and the suspect Rene Martinez, 25.

Police noticed a 13-year-old girl was passed out, vomited and has her pants partially pulled down. A 17-year-old girl was also there and was intoxicated with her pants partially pulled down.

Paramedics responded to the scene and took the 13-year-old to the hospital with a very high blood alcohol content and was extremely hypothermic.

Officers determined that Martinez had provided alcohol to both underage girls and took him into custody.

The 17-year old was returned to her parents and after treatment the 13-year old was released from the hospital to her parents.

Apparently Martinez purchased alcohol earlier in the night and the three of them drank in his parked car. Martinez admitted to touching the 13-year old while she was intoxicated.

Martinez was booked for two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, one count of sexual misconduct with a minor and one count of endangerment.
