KINGMAN, Ariz. -- A Kingman woman is facing child abuse charges after she left her two children home alone while she went to a club Thursday night, according to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators said Amanda Marie Morse, 24, left her 5-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter unattended for a minimum of two hours.
According to the sheriff's office, Morse's brother-in-law stopped by her house and found his niece and nephew sleeping in their bedroom with the door locked from the outside. No one else was home.
He said Morse had earlier told him that she was going to a club that evening.
The Kingman Police Department helped locate Morse at a club and took her back home.
Child Protective Services responded and the children were released to a relative.
Morse was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail on two counts of child abuse.
