GILBERT, Ariz. - Defendant Daimen Irizarry was found guilty on all 13 charges.

According to 3TV reporter Carina Sonn Irizarry was unemotional, but some of his family members burst into tears when the verdict was read.

Irizarry was driving a work truck the night Redondo allegedly killed Lieutenant Shuhandler by shooting him in the face following a traffic stop earlier this year.

He also led police on a long chase after the shooting occurred.

Irizarry was found guilty on charges of drive-by shooting, aggravated assault and unlawful flight from law enforcement.

Sentencing will be on August 27.

Gilbert Police Chief Tim Dorn said, "I am appreciative that the men and women of the jury were able to objectively review all of the facts and evidence in this case, which resulted in a guilty verdict. As a result, Daimen Irizarry will be held accountable for his cowardly acts, which endangered the lives of many courageous police officers and the public. While this verdict will not bring back Lieutenant Shuhandler, it is the first step in bringing some closure to Eric’s family and his extended family at the Gilbert Police Department."
