PHOENIX - An employee of Maricopa County was arrested on charges of felony and fraudulent schemes.

The Sheriff's correuption unit arrested Matthew Forest, a job order manager with the Maricopa County Facilities Management Operations and Maintenance Division. He is suspected of using the county fill station to put gas in his own vehicle.

Between Novmber 2007 and present it is believed that Forest stole over 700 gallons from the fill station.

An alert Sheriff's deputy noticed Forest pumping fuel into what appeared to be a personal vehicle.

Sheriff Arpaio stated that during this difficult period of budget cuts and fiscal constraints it is very troubling that this type of activity is going on.
