Car crashes into Glendale smoke shop; driver, store clerk injured

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Two people were injured when a car crashed into a building in Glendale on Sunday.

Police said a 22-year-old man was speeding and driving recklessly before hitting two parked cars in a parking lot at Olive and 47th avenues. The car then slammed into the Planet Zong Smoke Shop.

The driver and the 25-year-old female clerk were both hurt and taken to a local hospital.

Police have not determined if the driver was impaired.
