LUKEVILLE, Ariz. -- Officers arrested a Mexican national Saturday on suspicion of entering the country with more than 650 pounds of marijuana in his truck, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
CPB officers referred Jorge Alberto Sanchez-Ruiz, 22, of Sonoyta, Sonora, Mexico, for additional inspection as he entered the Port of Lukeville, a statement said.
Officers searched his Ford truck, finding 29 bundles of marijuana weighing almost 658 pounds.
Officers processed the drugs, valued at about $329,000, and the truck for seizure, according to CBP. Sanchez was referred to Immigration and Custom Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
