PHOENIX (AP) -- Phoenix police have made an arrest in the death of a gunshot victim whose body was found on a street.
Police said the victim was a 20-year-old Hispanic man and that the shooting occurred Sunday evening in the downtown area near 7th Avenue and Lincoln Street.
A 17-year-old suspect has been arrested and is facing a charge of second degree murder. The black male has been booked into the juvenile system, so azfamily.com is not releasing his name. Police said he admitted to the shooting.
There was an ongoing dispute between the victim and the suspect, according to detectives.
Police say several people were observed running from the scene following a loud argument and that a crowd was surrounding the body when officers arrived.
The victim has not been identified.
