NEW RIVER -- A person on a hunting trip found a body in the desert north of the Valley Friday morning.
The body of a young female was found in a rugged area near Interstate 17 and Table Mesa Road north of New River.
Maricopa County sheriff's deputies say the body is being investigated as just a death and not a homicide at this time.
Investigators tell 3TV the deceased girl was white or a light-skinned Hispanic with black hair. She was wearing a black hoody-type jacket, a blue Ed Hardy shirt, jeans and tennis shoes. Detectives also say the girl had braces on her teeth.
