Suspect in Glendale Dumpster murder case indicted

UPDATE on 11/10 - The County Attorney's Office announced that Miguel Angel Sanchez has been indicted on first degree murder, a class 1 dangerous felony, burglary, a class 2 dangerous felony, armed robbery, a class 2 dangerous felony, kidnapping, a class 2 dangerous felony, arson of an Occupied Structure, a class 2 dangerous felony, theft of means of transportation, a class 3 felony, theft of a credit card, a class 5 felony.

UPDATE:
GLENDALE -- The body of a man found in a Dumpster Oct. 27 has been positively identified as Glendale resident Paul Kapitz, 25.

The Medical Examiner's Office was able to identify Kapitz with dental records provided by his family in Wisconsin.

Glendale police officers arrested Miguel Sanchez, 24, after investigators discovered that an arson near 44th Avenue and Bethany Home Road was related to the murder.

Sanchez has been booked for first-degree murder.

GLENDALE -- Detectives from the Glendale Police Department are asking for the public's help to identify a body found in a Dumpster.

At approximately 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, Glendale police received a call from an apartment complex manager who found a body in a Dumpster on their property near 69th and Dunlap avenues.

The victim is believed to be a white male in his late 30s to early 40s. He is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and 170 to 190 pounds. He has brown hair and a small mustache and goatee. He was wearing a red Wisconsin Badgers T-shirt and black Chicago Bulls athletic shorts.

Anyone with information as to the identity of this person should call the Glendale Police Department at 623-930-3334 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
