PHOENIX -- Our springtime warm-up is on hold as a cooler air mass lingers for Arizona.
A strong storm system has pushed east and winds will continue to weaken today, although breezy conditions will persist for much of the state.
In the Valley, look for northerly winds between 5 and 15 mph this afternoon, with stronger winds likely for the Lower Colorado River Valley.
Sunshine and a high of about 77 degrees can be expected this afternoon, which is about 10 degrees below average for this time of year. Overnight lows will again be chilly for this time of year, dipping tomorrow morning to the mid 40s to mid 50s around town.
Tomorrow, we'll warm to the mid 80s and low 90s and dry weather looks likely for the weekend and into early next week.
