TEMPE, Ariz.--  If you're looking for a job, it looks like Arizona is the best place to be!

Forbes magazine has named Arizona the top state for projected job growth over the next five years.

Forbes projects a 3 percent job growth for Arizona over the next five years.

"We're attracting better companies than we ever did before," said Barry Broome of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council.

Broome said small businesses and new company formations are making a comeback in Arizona, and he said that those are healthy forms of growth. Broome adds that fields like health care, software, engineering, and renewable energy are also in position to boom in the next five years.

In addition to a large, educated workforce to choose from, companies are also attracted to Arizona’s pro-business regulatory climate.

Following Arizona on the Forbes list are Texas in the No. 2 spot and Colorado rounding out the top three.
