ATLANTA -- Authorities say an Arizona man has been arrested after he ran through an emergency exit into a secured area at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that airport employees had to tackle 22-year-old Nathan Dean Smith, who appeared to be intoxicated.

An airport police report says the incident occurred at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday at Gate C37. The gate agent told officers that she saw a man cursing and talking loudly.

The man allegedly ran to a nearby Sky Club Room -- an area reserved for Delta customers. Smith then ran through the room and through an emergency exit before airport workers stopped and held the man for police.

Smith has been charged with disorderly conduct and being intoxicated. It was not known whether he has an attorney.
